My Aunt Charlotte Olga came to visit me this past weekend and came with a few surprise photos to share. She had a photo of her father's mother who is my great grandmother.
Kaj or Kai, my grandfather was born in Copenhagen in 1883. His mother was Ellen Christine Jensen. This is her photo. It is so rare to have a photo from this time era.
It is even more special because Ellen died of pleurisy when my grandfather was a toddler. She never saw 1900.
What do you think? I am thinking this is a marriage photo taken about 1878. Her first child Great Uncle Edmund was born in 1879.
Sometimes you go along and something grand like this photo just drops down from the sky. Thanks Aunt Char.
