Every year since 1975 the San Francisco brewing company Anchor Steam (amongst other breweries) have produced a holiday brew in early November. Each year Anchor puts a new tree on their label. This year it is the bristlecone pine from the Eastern Sierra Nevada White Mountains where my Swedish grandmother came to from New York City, answering an ad that said "Swedish man wants Swedish wife". (Don't worry, her mother came with her!) Open the link and read about the beer and and see all the trees for the past 37 years.

Christmas beer has just arrived on the shelves in Norway as well. Perfect timing as the days are becoming shorter and darker. :)
